The crème de la crème of Blackport society gathered at the Performing Arts Center to celebrate the Anniversary of the founding of the town. Unfortunately, the party was chosen as the focal point of a demonstration by the mysterious company known as PlantCorp. In a boardroom high atop the Black Towers Hotel, the CEO of PlantCorp, Lady Su Sian Lavender gathered together potential investors. While at the Performing Arts Center, as partygoers dined on sumptuous foods and drank expensive bottles of champagne, they were unaware that lingering high above them were balloons filled with a deadly poison. The poison, which had been created by scientists at PlantCorp using an additive found in the rare Lavender Lynx Diamond, was just the catalyst that Lavender needed to prove to the potential investors that PlantCorp was a force to be reckoned with. But unbeknownst to Lavender, a team of agents was dispatched to the Performing Arts Center with orders to save as many of Blackport’s citizens as they possibly could. At the last moment, the agents were joined by Yvette Brunette and together they began serving an elixir containing the poison’s antidote mixed into the champagne. Yvette’s mother, Corrine Canary met with the agents’ mysterious leader on the grounds of the Black Estate, where the man told Corrine that even though the elixir was being used, there was not enough of it to save the lives of everyone at the Founder’s Day Party. With PlantCorp’s deadly plan playing out on a television monitor in the boardroom, investors watched as the poison was released. The citizens at the Performing Arts Center began collapsing to the floor. Across town, the housekeeper of the Meadow-Brook Family, Rosa Roja, climbed into bed to watch an old movie on television and began to doze off. Rosa awoke at about 10:40 pm and realized that the Meadow-Brooks should soon be returning from the Founder’s Day Party. Rosa hurried downstairs to prepare for the family’s arrival, unaware that a stranger had broken into the house and was rummaging through a desk in the family room. Rosa went into the room to start a fire and was startled to find the stranger. Rosa demanded to know who the man was and what he wanted, but the man remained silent. Quickly grabbing a fire place poker, the man broke a sliding glass door in order to make his escape. The man made a hasty exit and on his way out, he inadvertently cut his arm on some broken glass. Rosa rushed to the phone and called the police. Back in the boardroom, Lady Lavender began collecting checks from investors, until it became obvious that her plan had not worked out as she had hoped. Some of the guests at the Founder’s Day Celebration began to wake up! The guest who drank the champagne laced with the antidote realized the magnitude of the events unfolding around them and began to leave the Performing Arts Center as quickly as they could. Kelley Meadow-Brook anxiously waited for her brother Hunter to come out of the building. Hunter had told Kelley that he would help her boyfriend, Matthew Steele outside, but neither Hunter nor Matthew had come out. Just as Kelley was about to go into the building to look for them, Matthew’s mother and half-sister came out. When Kelley asked them why Matthew wasn’t with them, she learned that Matthew was dead. A distraught Kelley collapsed into John Boddy’s arms. Kelley’s mother, Jane Meadow-Brook hurried to her daughter as Hunter came outside. Detective Shauna Garnet joined them and they tried to stop her from entering the building. Garnet refused to listen and John offered to go in with her. But John saw that Hunter was pale and suggested that he go to the hospital. In the parking lot, Ian Masque was on his cell phone with Dr. Julia Kell. Julia was relieved to hear that Masque was alright and begged him to come home. Masque reminded Kell that his reason for coming to Blackport was still unaccomplished. When Masque told Kell that his assistant Diane was in critical condition, Julia reacted strongly, demanding to know why Diane was in Blackport. Masque told her that he had no time for her insecurities and hung up on her. Marina Popov joined Masque and the two of them headed to the hospital to check on Diane. Inside the Performing Arts Center, Det. Garnet and John Boddy solemnly walked among the bodies of people who had not survived the attack. Garnet made her way to a table and identified Mrs. Whitehurst, Mayor Aubergine and his wife, Madalyn, Janice Brown, the wife of Inspector Winfield Brown and finally Brown himself. Boddy went over to the edge of the stage and sadly watched as medics put the body of Dame Beatrice Mellon into a body bag. At Blackport Memorial Hospital, Jane Meadow-Brook grew concerned when Hunter never showed up. In the waiting room, Ian Masque and Marina Popov waited for doctors to come and give them an update on the condition of Masque’s assistant, Diane. Finally, the doctor came and told them that Diane had woken up and was asking to see Masque, so Masque left Popov alone to go and visit Diane. Eventually, Popov grew tired of waiting and told a nurse to let Ian know she was leaving. Popov went outside, but was stopped by Patrick Plum, who offered her a ride. Popov reluctantly agreed, but as they were about to leave, Darcy Puce rushed out of the emergency room and told Patrick that her sister, Kelsey had died. Marina Popov went back into the hospital to call a cab when a nurse told her that she had gone to Diane Gwen’s room to relay the message to Ian, but he was not there. The nurse told Marina that Masque had never even gone to Diane’s room to see her.
PRISON BREAK
At Mountain View Penitentiary, a most unlikely trio formed. Misty Arugula, Sandra Sumac, and Catherine Grey had all been incarcerated for various crimes and were planning to escape. Meanwhile, Officer Jake Summers mourned the loss of his girlfriend, Alva Vermillion, who was shot and killed during the Miss Blackport Beauty Contest. Summers, along with Alva’s devastated family, took little comfort in the fact that Alva’s alleged assailant, Channing Steele was also found dead the same night. Questions arose as to why Steele would want Alva dead and who would in turn murder Steele. Police Captain Armand Grigio received the forensics report on Alva’s murder. While, Jake, who was disobeying orders to stay away from the police station, visited a fellow officer, Iris. Iris told Jake that the Captain had just received the report on Alva. But the Captain hadn’t had the chance to read the report. Getting word that both Police Inspector Brown and Blackport’s Mayor were fatalities in the Founder’s Day massacre, the Captain quickly left his office. Jake and Iris went into the Captain’s office and read the report and were shocked to learn that the bullet that killed Alva didn’t come from Channing Steele’s gun as they had thought. The bullet that killed Alva was fired from Jake’s gun. Jake’s mind flashed back to the Miss Blackport Beauty Contest, the night Alva died. Jake recalled that he struggled with Channing Steele up in a balcony at the rear of the grand ballroom of the hotel and several shots were fired. Iris snapped Jake’s mind to attention and warned that Grigio was on his way back into the office. Jake dropped the report on the floor and fled the police station before Grigio knew they were in the office. Grigio then received word of the prison break at Mountain View Penitentiary. Meanwhile, Misty Arugula, Sandra Sumac, Catherine Grey and a male inmate were making there way on foot along some railroad tracks. As guards and police officers pursued them, Sandra Sumac found it increasing difficult to keep up. The group spotted a car parked on the tracks and the man accompanying them left the women behind and jumped into the car. The police then began firing shots at the women, who quickly headed into the woods surrounding the Meadow-Brook Lake recreation area. In the woods, Misty Arugula realized that they had become separated from Sandra Sumac. Arugula and Catherine Grey slowed down, taking cover in woods. Seconds later, Sandra Sumac appeared. She had been shot! Catherine knew that if they stopped to help her, they too would be shot or killed and fled, leaving Misty alone to try and help the wounded Sumac. Misty struggled to get Sumac up all the while police officers were closing in on them. Sumac realized that Arugula wouldn’t be able to help her and told Misty to leave her. Arugula at first didn’t want to leave Sandra in the woods to die, but she soon realized that the police were too close to risk trying to take Sandra with her. Before Misty left her, Sandra gave her an envelope and told her to give it to her daughter, Jessie. Sandra also told Misty to tell Jessie that she loved her very much. Arugula took the letter and fled. Moments later, police officers found Sandra lying dead in the woods. Arugula made her way to the nearby docks, where she got into a small rowboat. Catherine Grey then appeared and climbed into the boat. Arugula told Grey that Sandra had died and the women began to row the boat, heading for a structure that sat on an island just across the harbor.
SHADY BEHAVIOR
Alphonse Brunette returned to the Pine Cone Inn where he was met by Sienna Fallow. Sienna immediately noticed that Brunette seemed flustered. Brunette explained that he had lost the key to his motel room. Sienna then saw that Brunette’s arm was bleeding. Questioning what had happened, Brunette made an off-the-cuff remark. Sienna then made Brunette go with her to her room to clean up the wound. Sienna finished bandaging up Brunette’s arm and began questioning him as to how he got injured, accusing him of not telling her the truth. Perturbed, Brunette left Sienna’s room, telling her he was going back to find his lost room key. Sienna then received a shocking phone call. The man who had escaped from Mountain View Penitentiary with Aruglua, Grey and Sumac was Sienna’s boyfriend, Rodrigo Roja. Roja told a stunned Sienna that he was going to go and pay a quick visit to his mother and then he would be over to the Pine Cone Inn to pick up her and her infant son. Rodrigo then made his way to the home of the Meadow-Brook family, to visit his mother, the housekeeper, Rosa. At Meadow-Brook Commons, Rosa was shocked when she opened the door and found that her son had broken out of prison. Reluctantly, Rosa invited Rodrigo in, warning that the Meadow-Brooks were due home soon. Rodrigo made it no secret that he felt that the Meadow-Brooks were using Rosa as a slave, but Rosa informed her son that she was very happy working for the family and that she was very well-paid. Rodrigo and Rosa’s reunion soon turned bitter when Rosa realized that he was still blaming her for his being sent to prison. Rosa reminded Rodrigo that she had visited him in prison on a weekly basis and was sending money to Sienna to care for her baby. When Rosa said that they were still not sure if the baby was Rodrigo’s son to begin with, Rodrigo became enraged and pulled a knife on his mother. Outside, Alphonse Brunette was searching the grounds for his missing motel room key. Brunette worried that if the police, who had been called to investigate the break-in earlier in the evening, had found the key, then they would know he was the one who had broken in. Down the road, Jake Summers was in his car. Jake was contemplating his next move, knowing that the police would soon be looking to arrest him for shooting Alva Vermillion. Just as Jake drove past Meadow-Brook Commons, Rodrigo came running down the driveway and jumped into a waiting car. Immediately, Jake recognized Rodrigo as being the same man who had shot and killed Police Chief Vermillion several years earlier in a botched bank robbery. Jake was about to follow Rodrigo, but had to stop when a police cruiser came down the street. Summers pulled into the Meadow-Brook’s driveway and saw that the front door of the house was open. Knowing that there had been a break-in earlier, Jake reached for his gun, but had to settle for a Swiss Army knife instead. Armed with the knife, Jake got out of the car and headed up the driveway. Alphonse Brunette in the meantime had made his way to the back yard and saw the shattered glass door he had broken to make his escape. Brunette then realized that his missing room key may be inside the house. Back at Blackport Memorial, Jane Meadow-Brook confided in John Boddy that she was worried since Hunter had never made it to the hospital and he was not answering his cell phone. John suggested that Hunter may have gone back to the house, so Jane decided to call the house phone. The ringing of the telephone woke up Hunter, who had passed out in the back yard of Meadow-Brook Commons. Hunter, confused as to how he ended up at the house in the first place, noticed the broken glass door and then heard a strange clicking sound coming from some nearby bushes. Shrugging off the strange noise, Hunter proceeded into the house, where he found a trail of blood. Following the blood into the kitchen, Hunter was horrified to find the mutilated body of Rosa Roja.
ISLAND OF MYSTERY
Ian Masque met with real estate agent Lydia Appleby and the two took a boat to the deserted Foxglove mansion situated on an island across the Blackport Harbor. Masque and Appleby were unaware that the mansion was being used as the hideout for escaped prisoners Misty Arugula and Catherine Grey. With Misty and Catherine hiding in the basement stairwell, Miss Appleby showed Masque around the mansion. Ian immediately fell in love with the place and told Appleby he was ready to make an offer to buy it. After Masque and Appleby left the mansion, Misty Arugula opened the envelope that was given to her by Sandra Sumac and read the letter inside. The letter Sumac had written was intended to be read only by Sumac's teenage daughter, Jessie. Misty was shocked by Sumac’s words to Jessie and hurried upstairs to share what she had found with Catherine Grey.
A FACE FROM THE PAST
The next morning, Emily Peach awoke in her hospital bed to an odd clicking sound. Emily was surprised to see a woman sitting by a window, playing with a heart-shaped locket around her neck. Emily immediately recognized the woman as being Amber Amber, a former classmate that had been found murdered several years earlier. The woman explained that she was not Amber, but she was in fact, Amber’s sister, Allison. Allison explained to Emily that she had come to town to investigate the events that led to the death of her sister and the investigation brought her to Emily. Later, Alphonse Brunette received a call from Pearl Ivory. Ivory told Brunette that Sienna and her baby had shown up at Ivory’s Boarding House the night before. Brunette went to the boarding house, where Sienna explained that her boyfriend had escaped from prison and was going to take her and the baby on the run with him. Knowing that being on the run was no life for her child, Sienna fled her room and came to the boarding house. Pearl Ivory shocked Brunette when she offered to let Sienna and her son stay there. Brunette’s shock soon turned to concern when he saw another tenant of the boarding house coming down the stairs. Allison Amber joined them in the living room, and commented to Pearl how kind Pearl’s mother had been to give her a room. Brunette immediately recognized her as Amber’s sister. Allison then expressed her condolences over the loss of Opal Ivory in the Founder’s Day Massacre. Brunette asked Allison what had brought her to Blackport, and without hesitation, Allison said she had come to town looking for answers. Mindy Mint then arrived and told Brunette, Pearl and Sienna that her mother had escaped from prison and the police had come to the Pine Cone Motel to question her. Later, Brunette let Pearl know how grateful he was that she survived the Founder’s Day Massacre but unbeknownst to them, Sienna was spying on them. Sienna then realized how close Brunette and Ivory had become and decided to share some shocking news with Brunette. Sienna confessed that her young son Sepia was not Rodrigo Roja’s son. Sienna confessed that Sepia was the result of a one-night stand Sienna had with Brunette. Allison Amber then joined them and mentioned that she had read that two of the victims of the Founder’s Day Massacre had the surname Brown. She asked Alphonse if the Browns that had died were relatives of his. Alphonse said that Winfield Brown was indeed his half-brother, but they were not close. Pearl Ivory could not hide her shock in learning that Alphonse had family in Blackport. Alphonse left the house to go get some air. Sienna asked if someone could drive her back to the Pine Cone Inn to retrieve her belongings. Allison agreed and the two women left the house, leaving Sepia in the care of Mindy Mint. In the Ivory’s garage, Allison and Sienna climbed into Allison’s rental car and Allison started the engine. Allison then remembered that she was expecting an important call and went back inside to get her cell phone. In the car, Sienna did not notice that the exhaust was quickly filling the garage. Pearl Ivory in the meantime, went out to look for Brunette, who was sitting on the curb smoking a cigarette. In Amber’s car, Sienna began to cough from the fumes and tried to turn the car off, but it would not. She then tried to open the car door but it was jammed. Panicking, Sienna found the air increasingly harder to breath. Outside, Pearl gave up trying to find Alphonse and decided to put her car in the garage, not realizing that Sienna was inside fighting to stay alive. Pearl then heard a strange clicking sound and started to investigate, unaware that Sienna Fallow was just steps away struggling to live. In the car, Sienna was overtaken by exhaust fumes and passed out. At the same time, Alphonse Brunette was down the street talking on his cell phone to his daughter, Yvette. Yvette told Brunette that her mother Corrine had arranged for her to meet with a mysterious group of people. Yvette was concerned that Corrine had an involvement in the Founder’s Day Massacre. When Brunette returned to Ivory’s Boarding House, he was shocked when Allison Amber told him that Sienna had been locked in the garage in the running car. Brunette then helped Pearl rescue Sienna from the car. Pearl started to perform CPR on Sienna who was barely breathing. Alphonse, Pearl, Allison and Mindy waited nervously as paramedics worked on Sienna. But sadly, Sienna did not survive. When Allison explained to Alphonse why she had left Sienna in the garage, Alphonse blamed Allison for Sienna’s death. Meanwhile, Yvette Brunette met with her mother outside the west gate of the Black Estate. Corrine told Yvette that they needed to wait for a signal before it was safe to enter the compound. Once they got the signal, Yvette followed her mother to the Black Family Mausoleum where the women traveled down a secret passage to a room deep below the estate. Once inside, Corrine introduced Yvette to Veronica Sable, who thanked Yvette for her help in saving the lives of many people at the Founder’s Day Party. The women were then joined by François Sarcelle, Ian Masque and Marina Popov. Meanwhile, at Blackport Memorial Hospital, Allison Amber went to visit Emily Peach. But Emily had been released from the hospital and returned home to Tudor Manor.
IN MOURNING
Kelley and Jane Meadow-Brook were relieved when Hunter Meadow-Brook finally
showed up at the hospital after having been missing for hours. When Jane asked
him where he had been, Hunter lied and said he had some last minute work to
do at his office. In reality, Hunter had made the gruesome discovery of Rosa’s
brutal murder and cleaned up the crime scene, knowing that if he called the
police and reported the murder, he would not be able to give them an alibi for
his whereabouts at the time the crime was committed.
Jake Summers, in the meantime, was having a hard time accepting the fact that
the bullet that killed his fiancée Alva Vermillion came from his gun.
The guilt over having caused the deaths of both Alva and her father Police Chief
Vermillion was slowly starting to take its toll on Jake’s psyche. Meanwhile,
Jessie Sumac and Gavin
Gold
paid a visit to their friend Kimberly
Brown. Kim’s
parents were two of the many people who died on Founder’s Day. Jessie
and Gavin expressed their condolences to Kim, who confided that after the recent
deaths of so many of her loved ones, she wasn’t sure how she could go
on with her life. Jessie, sensing Kim’s desperation, asked Gavin to leave
her alone with Kim. Gavin complied and left for the girls to share tea. Kim
went to the kitchen to prepare the tea and when she returned, the front door
was open and Jessie was gone. Confused, Kim called Jessie’s cell phone
but got no answer. She then called Gavin, who was surprised to hear that Jessie
was not in the house. Meanwhile, Jane and Hunter Meadow-Brook waited at the
hospital for word on the condition of Hunter’s friend, Carrie
Bluebell.
Kelley, who had left the hospital and gone home to sleep, called her mother
and offered to bring them some breakfast from the local diner. Jane told Kelley
that she didn’t need to stop at the diner and that the housekeeper, Rosa
could prepare something. Kelley told her mother that she couldn’t find
Rosa anywhere. The doctor who was caring for Carrie Bluebell then came out,
causing Jane to end her conversation with Kelley. The doctor told Hunter and
Jane that Carrie was unable to breath on her own and was hooked up to a life
support machine. Hunter went home and slipped a fake letter from Rosa into a
stack of mail. Jane Meadow-Brook got the phony letter stating that Rosa had
gone to Spain to care for her ailing sister. When Jane suggested that she try
giving Rosa’s sister a call in Spain, Hunter panicked. To try and cover
his deceit, Hunter convinced Jane to wait a while before calling. The next night,
Jessie Sumac awoke to find herself in a cold dungeon with her hands tied behind
her back.
WELCOME HOME
John Boddy received a call from his cousin Vivienne Scarlet. Scarlet told John she was returning to Blackport the next day and asked if he could send a car to pick her up from the airport. John was excited to hear his cousin would be returning home from L.A. Meanwhile, another of John’s cousins, Emily Peach also returned home. Dr. Paul Mandarin drove Emily back to Tudor Manor after she was released from Blackport Memorial Hospital. Emily’s mother Coral Black was delighted to have her daughter back home safe and sound. Meanwhile, a cryptic meeting was being held deep below the Black Estate. Yvette Brunette anxiously waited for the person who organized the meeting to join the group. Yvette was shocked when Reginald Cyngen Ash, the long-time butler of the Black Family appeared. Ash explained that he was the leader of an organization called the Guardian Elixir Network or G.E.N. for short. Ash presented the group with a file containing sensitive documents about the activities of PlantCorp. Along with Baron Arthur Bronze, Ash explained that the Guardian Elixir was the antidote to the deadly poison that was used by PlantCorp to murder many prominent citizens of Blackport on Founder’s Day. As Ash and Bronze tried to answer Yvette’s questions, Lady Su Sian Lavender was on her way back to PlantCorp’s headquarters. After potential investors in PlantCorp withdrew their support for the company, Lavender realized she needed to do damage control. What Lavender didn’t realize was that her closest ally, Arthur Bronze, was working as a double agent and had stolen the real Lavender Lynx Diamond from her and replaced it with a fake gem. After the meeting of G.E.N. had ended, Yvette Brunette headed back to her mother’s car to wait for her mother, Corrine Canary to join her. Corrine had been stopped by Marina Popov who wanted to have a quick word with her in private. As Yvette made her way to the car she heard an odd clicking noise. Allison Amber, claiming that Emily was her only friend in town, hurried to the Black Estate, followed closely by Alphonse Brunette. When Allison arrived at Tudor Manor, Emily’s mother refused to let Allison see Emily. But Allison refused to give up. Gavin Gold, who had also been at the G.E.N. meeting, was also on the Black Estate when he got a call from Kimberly Brown. Kimberly told Gavin she was on her way to the estate to meet him. Gavin tried to persuade Kimberly from coming to the estate, but Kimberly wouldn’t listen. At the same time, a restless Emily Peach decided that a breath of fresh air might cure her insomnia and ventured outside. Standing on the bank of Rainbow Lake, Emily was not aware that she was being watched. Inside the house, John Boddy was surprised to see Ash in the hall. Ash explained he was doing his nightly check of the house’s doors before retiring to bed. Boddy and Ash said goodnight and Boddy went to the kitchen to get a piece of Mrs. White’s apple pie. Once in the kitchen, Boddy saw that the back door was left open and wondered how Ash could have missed it. Concerned, Boddy proceeded outside and down the path. Boddy passed the swimming pool area and saw that the moonlight that was being reflected off of the pool was moving as though someone was in the water making waves. Cautiously, Boddy made his way to the edge of the pool where he discovered the body of a blonde woman floating face down in the water. Mindy Mint returned to her room at the Pine Cone Inn, only to be shocked that her mother, Misty Arugula was there to greet her. Arugula told Mindy she had a proposition for her. Mindy initially scoffed at the idea, but then decided to hear her mother out. Arugula showed Mindy the letter from Sandra Sumac and explained a way they could become very wealthy. Mindy, concerned that her mother’s plan would not work, questioned where Jessie Sumac was. Arugula explained that Jessie had been taken care of. At the same time, in her dungeon prison, Jessie was awakened by the sound of someone coming into the cell. Jessie cried as Catherine Grey appeared with a syringe. Grey explained that she needed Jessie’s DNA and proceeded to draw a sample of blood from the girl’s arm. Meanwhile, on the Black Estate, John Boddy discovered his cousin Emily Peach floating face down in the swimming pool. John’s assistant, Tawny Drabb called paramedics and as they performed CPR on Emily, Gavin Gold was searching the estate for Kimberly Brown. Gavin heard Kimberly scream and found her sitting on the ground of a horse corral. Kim explained she had heard a strange noise and went off to investigate and had fallen into the corral. Gavin then told Kim they would be better off leaving the estate instead of risk getting caught trespassing. Mr. Ash, having being awoken by the sound of the ambulance’s sirens, came out of the servant’s quarters. Ash was horrified when he learned that it was Emily who was injured. Back at the Pine Cone Inn, Mindy agreed to help her mother and the two waited for Alphonse Brunette to arrive. When Brunette showed up he was surprised to see Misty. Tawny and Ash went with Emily to the hospital, while John went to tell Coral Black and Mrs. White what happened. John told Coral he would call her from the hospital with word on Emily’s condition, but Coral insisted she go with him. Mrs. White escorted them out and watched as they left. As she was turning to go back inside, Mrs. White saw Allison Amber sitting under a tree in the side yard. Mrs. White immediately went over to Allison and asked her what she was doing there. Mrs. White then realized that Allison was the same girl who had come to the house earlier in the evening asking to see Emily. Allison once again asked to see Emily and Mrs. White told her that Miss Peach was taken to the hospital. Allison apologized to Mrs. White for causing trouble and then quickly left the Black Estate.
GOODBYE & HELLO
John Boddy and Coral Black arrived at Blackport Memorial Hospital and learned that Emily Peach had died. Coral demanded to see her daughter and Dr. Mandarin reluctantly complied with her wishes. Mandarin then informed John that the police would be around soon to question him about the circumstances surrounding John’s discovery of Emily in the swimming pool. Confused, John told Mandarin that he found Emily floating face-down in the pool and pulled her out and he assumed that she must have fallen and hit her head. Mandarin explained to John that Emily didn’t die from drowning and that she was strangled and her body was placed in the pool after she was already dead. At Ivory’s Boarding House, C.J. Ivory found his sister, Pearl in their late mother’s bedroom rummaging through her belongings. Pearl explained that she was looking for her mother’s wedding ring and that she wanted to bury the ring with their mother. Pearl then told him that she and her mother had a bit of an argument when, after the death of their father years earlier, their mother stopped wearing the wedding ring. C.J. upset his sister when he suggested that perhaps their mother would not want to be buried with the ring. Pearl stormed out of the room, leaving C.J. to look for the ring. In a box, C.J. found their father’s pocket watch and mother’s wedding ring and later he went to comfort his sister and gave her the ring. Meanwhile, Gavin Gold was driving Kimberly Brown back to her house when Kimberly remembered that she had promised to help her friend Tiffany Aubergine move out of the Mayor’s Mansion. Tiffany’s parents, Mayor Aubergine and his wife, were victims of the Founder’s Day Massacre. Gavin agreed to take Kim to help Tiffany. At the Mayor’s Mansion, Tiffany was grateful to have Kim and Gavin’s help, but was sad to be leaving the luxurious mansion. Hearing that Tiffany would be moving into a suite at the Black Towers Hotel, Kim offered to let Tiffany move into her house. Later, Pearl Ivory went to meet Alphonse Brunette for coffee at Jojo’s Diner. Brunette tried to explain why he had kept the fact that Inspector Winfield Brown was his half-brother a secret, but struggled with the words to do so. Then Brunette told Ivory that for the first time in his life he felt like he needed to be honest with someone, namely her. Brunette told Pearl she could ask him anything and he would answer with complete honesty. Ivory, knowing that Brunette would struggle with his answer, immediately questioned him on his relationship with Sienna Fallow. Brunette became defensive and told Pearl he would tell her all she wanted to know about his relationship with Sienna, but that he needed time to do so because he was still coping with the fact that Sienna had just died. Ivory told Brunette to take all the time he needed and left him at the diner, devastated. Brunette then received a call from Mindy Mint, asking him if he had considered her mother’s offer of helping them with her get-rich-quick plan. Brunette, still reeling from Ivory’s departure, agreed to help them. Back at Blackport Memorial, John Boddy went to bid farewell to Emily Peach. Fighting back tears, John vowed to find the person who murdered her and make them pay, not realizing that Allison Amber was outside listening. At Blackport’s Rose Grove Cemetery, friends and family of Alva Vermillion gathered to mourn her passing. During Alva’s funeral, Audrey Summers spotted her brother Jake watching the funeral from afar. Audrey went to talk to Jake, who begged her to not to tell anyone he was there. Audrey agreed, but was unaware that Police Captain Armand Grigio saw them talking. Meanwhile, Kim Brown and Tiffany Aubergine noticed that Gavin Gold was not at Alva’s funeral. Gavin was at the Blackport Police Station, filing a missing persons report on Jessie Sumac. Sumac had disappeared several days earlier from Kim Brown’s cabin, but unbeknownst to Gavin, Jessie had been kidnapped by Misty Arugula and Catherine Grey. Jonathan Green arrived at Tudor Manor to visit Coral Black after hearing the news of the murder of Emily Peach. The Black Family and Green were stunned when Mindy Mint and Alphonse Brunette, who was disguised as lawyer Donald Cherry, arrived with some shocking news. Mindy and Brunette claimed that Mindy’s mother, Misty Arugula, sent Mindy a letter stating that Mindy was the product of an affair Arugula had with Hugh Black some eighteen years earlier. John and Coral then ordered Dr. Mandarin to run a DNA test on Mindy to determine if she was really Hugh Black’s daughter. At Blackport Airport, Mr. Ash was waiting on Vivienne Scarlet’s flight to land when he met a woman. The woman, Sally Browning-Fallow confided in Mr. Ash that she was in town to get her grandson and that her daughter had recently died. Mindy Mint reluctantly waited for her father, Jonathan Green so that they could talk about the fact that Mindy was presumably the biological child of the late Hugh Black. Green was unaware that this was all part of a plan to swindle money out of the Black family. Across town, Alphonse Brunette went to Ivory’s boarding house and was surprised to learn that Pearl Ivory was going back to work at Blackport Memorial Hospital. Brunette warned Ivory that Allison Amber is dangerous and should not be around the young Sepia Fallow. Ivory blew off Brunette’s warnings and told him to leave. Meanwhile, Heather Grey was one of the many people at the Blackport Performing Arts Center the night of the Founder’s Day Massacre and she was now battling for her life and the life of her unborn child. In Los Angeles, Commissioner Glenn Forrest and his wife Miranda received a phone call from their daughter Jennifer Forrest-Redmond. Jennifer tearfully informed her parents that their son Wayne had died in the Founder’s Day Massacre. At Blackport Memorial Hospital, Peter Plum was at the hospital visiting Heather Grey, when he was surprised to see Pearl Ivory, knowing that her mother had died in the Founder’s Day tragedy. As Heather was being looked after by her over-bearing mother, Argent Silver, Peter brought Ivory into Heather’s room and told her that he had asked Ivory to check in on her. After Ivory and Plum left, Mrs. Silver let Heather know that she was suspicious of Nurse Ivory. Outside in the corridor, Plum thanked Ivory by giving her a kiss on the cheek. The kiss was witnessed by Peter’s brother, Patrick. Later, when Patrick made disparaging remarks about Peter’s intentions towards Ivory, Peter punched Patrick in the nose. Meanwhile, Sally Browning-Fallow went to the Pine Cone Inn to try and locate her grandson, Sepia. The motel manager offered little help to Sally, telling her that before her death, her daughter Sienna had begged him not to tell anyone where she was taking Sepia. In her room at the motel, Mindy Mint and her father, Mr. Green, were surprised by the arrival of Alphonse Brunette and Sepia. Brunette told Mindy that he did not feel comfortable leaving Sepia alone with Allison Amber, whom Alphonse still considered responsible for Sienna’s death. Later, after Alva Vermillion’s funeral, Tiffany Aubergine was returning to Kim Brown’s cabin when she saw a man walking along the side of the road. Tiffany recognized the man as being Jake Summers. Tiffany asked Jake why he was not at the funeral, but Jake ignored her and disappeared into the woods. Rodrigo Roja and some of his friends had been hiding out in an abandoned house. Rodrigo left the house and walked down the street ending up outside the cabin of the Brown family. While inside the cabin, Tiffany Aubergine was preparing to take a bath. She turned on the radio and heard an announcer talking about the inauguration of the new mayor. Tiffany began to cry when the announcer commented that her parents were victims of the Founder’s Day Massacre. The solemn residents of Tudor Manor were temporarily cheered by the return of Vivienne Scarlet. The good feeling didn’t last long as John Boddy sadly informed Vivienne about the death of Emily Peach. Later, Vivienne confided in Kevin Kale that she could not break the news of her not being Hugh Black’s daughter to the family, feeling that they were already suffering over the loss of Emily. Scarlet also commented to Kevin that telling the family that Prince “Blanket” Onceblack was the person who tried to have her killed and that he was not Mrs. White’s son would equally destroy them. Scarlet didn’t realize, however, that Coral Black was outside the lounge listening to them. Coral then came to Scarlet, who quickly realized that Coral had overheard her talking to Kevin. Coral promised Scarlet that she would not tell the family what she had heard and left Scarlet with a cryptic message. Coral suggested that before Scarlet tell them that she is not a member of the Black family, she should do a little research. When Scarlet questioned Coral as to where to begin, Coral told Scarlet to look in the mirror and start there. Scarlet, confused as to what she was to be looking at, spotted a portrait of Hugh Black’s mother, Priscilla Sable Black. Scarlet then realized that she must somehow be a member of the Black family, because she looks exactly like Priscilla. Coral, in the meantime, returned to her room and placed a mysterious phone call. Coral told the person on the phone, presumably Vivienne’s biological mother, that Scarlet was well aware that Hugh Black was not her father and that Elizabeth Peacock had purchased her off of the black market when she was an infant. Coral then reassured the person that she would be reunited with Vivienne very soon. At the Pine Cone Inn, Jonathan Green, Alphonse Brunette and Mindy Mint were left in shock when Sally Browning-Fallow arrived with Officer Iris and took Sepia. When Mindy questioned how Sally knew where Sepia was, Brunette naturally assumed that Allison Amber informed the police that he had taken Sepia from the boarding house. At Blackport Memorial Hospital, Heather Grey was woken by Patrick Plum standing over her. Patrick then told Heather that he saw Peter and Nurse Pearl Ivory in the hall and that Peter had kissed her. Suddenly, Heather began having pains in her stomach and yelled for Patrick to get a doctor. Later, Peter, Patrick and Heather’s mother, Argent Silver waited as doctors performed an emergency C-section on Heather.
SERIAL KILLER
At Kim Brown’s cabin, Tiffany Aubergine was brutally murdered in the bathtub. Kim Brown returned home to find the killer still in the house. The killer chased Kim to the gates of the Mayor’s Mansion on Rainbow Mountain, where Kimberly was brutally attacked. The citizens of Blackport reacted to the news of the murders of Kimberly Brown and Tiffany Aubergine. Mayor Jasper issued a curfew for the entire town, expressing concern that a serial killer was on the loose. Hunter Meadow-Brook, in the meantime, panicked when his mother almost discovered the body of Rosa Roja. Hunter had stashed the body in the family’s freezer fearing he was the person who murdered her. Catherine Grey went to Blackport Memorial Hospital and with the help of an orderly, she switched the DNA sample taken from Mindy Mint with the sample she had taken from Jessie Sumac, who was being held captive by Misty Arugula. Gavin Gold was at the Black Towers Hotel, drowning his sorrow over the death of Kimberly Brown in a bottle of cheap liquor. Gold was joined by his former employer, Elizabeth Peacock-Canary, who invited him up to her hotel suite to drink booze of better quality. Alphonse Brunette arrived at Ivory’s Boarding House to confront Allison Amber. Brunette demanded to know why Allison would tell the police that he had taken Sepia Fallow to the Pine Cone Inn. C.J. Ivory heard them arguing and told Brunette that he, not Allison, was the one who told the police where they could find Sepia. At Tudor Manor, the Black Family was surprised by the arrival of an unexpected visitor -- Madame Tiponi Chartreuse.
MIRROR IMAGES
Madame Chartreuse told the stunned Black family that she had a terrifying premonition. In her vision, the psychic saw the murder of John Boddy, but she did not see who committed the crime. Hearing this caused John Boddy great concern, even though Mrs. White tried to convince him that Chartreuse’s vision was a load of nonsense. Reginald Ash, in the meantime, received a phone call alerting him that Carrie Bluebell was recovering from being poisoned at the Founder’s Day Party. Ash, knowing that Bluebell was one of the people who had not had the antidote, found it interesting that she was the only one to survive without it. Gavin Gold spent the night with Elizabeth Peacock-Canary, after drowning his sorrow over the murder of Kim Brown and the disappearance of Jessie Sumac in several bottles of scotch. Gold then received a call from Detective Garnet. Garnet told Gold that police had picked up a girl who matched Jessie’s description. Fearing that his mother would discover the body of Rosa Roja in the freezer, Hunter Meadow-Brook took the body to the Meadow-Brook Pond recreation area and threw the body into the water. Unfortunately, Hunter was unaware that nearby, Catherine Grey and orderly Milo Smalt were watching him from a car. Coral Black once again offered a bit of advice to Vivienne Scarlet. Coral told Scarlet that some of the answers to her questions could be found in the Black Family History. The volumes were located in the deserted East wing of Tudor Manor in Priscilla Black’s sitting room. Madame Chartreuse felt a strong urge to go into Priscilla’s sitting room while wandering the East wing. In the sitting room, Chartreuse saw a huge mirror hanging on the wall. When Chartreuse stared into the mirror, the reflection suddenly changed and Chartreuse saw into a parallel time. Although people in this parallel time resembled members of the Black Family, Chartreuse got the sense that they were indeed different people. In fact, in this alternate world, Dr. Hugh Black was very much alive! Across town, Pearl Ivory got a cryptic phone call from a man who asked her to meet him at the Black Towers Hotel. Pearl convinced C.J. to go with her to the hotel where they met Dr. Charles Lemon. They were unaware however, that Allison was also in the hotel and had headed upstairs. Upstairs in her suite, Corrine Canary confessed to her daughters Yvette and Kirby that they have a sister that Corrine had given away. The women were stunned to learn that their sister was living in Blackport. Just as Charles Lemon was about to explain to Pearl and C.J. why he wanted to talk with them, Alphonse Brunette came into the hotel and told them that Allison’s car, the one that Sienna got trapped in, had been tampered with, making it so that Sienna couldn’t get out. As Madame Chartreuse got a glimpse of the Black Family in the mirror, she didn’t know that Vivienne Scarlet was also in the room and had fallen asleep reading a volume of the Black Family History. Suddenly, Chartreuse suffered a severe headache and collapsed to the floor. When Vivienne woke up, she immediately noticed the furnishings in the room were different from when she entered. Vivienne walked over to a portrait of Coral Black that was hanging above a fireplace. While staring at the portrait, Vivienne heard a familiar voice call out to her. Slowly, Vivienne turned and was stunned to see her deceased cousin, Emily Peach!
