Born to an Italian/French father and an American mother, the young Elizabeth
Gobelin first came to California in 1968 at the age of 12. She was accompanied
by her mother only, as her father had met an unfortunate end while climbing
in the Pyrenees. Miss Gobelin attended all the best schools and became one
of Malibu's most sought after débutantes. Her involvement in a messy romantic
triangle with two opposing political figures forced her to leave the West Coast,
fleeing to New England in 1975. While in Massachusetts, she befriended
Margaret Boddy. And in 1978, she was introduced to Margaret's dashing
brother, Dr. Hugh Black. The two were rumored to have been briefly involved,
while she was married to her first husband, Dr. James Scarlet, a colleague of
Dr. Black's. Elizabeth became pregnant, but unfortunatley she suffered a
miscarriage. The ever resourceful Elizabeth faked the remainder of her
pregnancy and purchased a baby off of the black market passing the baby
girl off as Vivienne Scarlet. Regrettably, James died in 1981, after stumbling
down the stairs at their country house. Since that time,Elizabeth married
three more times. First to Ernest Zaffer in 1987, who died a year later after
falling from a hotel balcony in Italy. Ruled a homicide, Elizabeth found herself
on trial for Ernest's murder. She was aquitted of all charges in 1988. In 1992,
she married her third husband, Senator Matthew Peacock. Misfortune followed
again, as Matthew fell overboard and drowned while aqua boarding in Malibu.
Her third husband's once-sizable estate had been nearly exhausted because of
her lavish lifestyle, by the time she met her most recent husband, Albert Canary.
Sadly, Albert Canary was murdred on the couple's wedding night.
