Born to an Italian/French father and an American mother, the young Elizabeth
Gobelin first came to California in 1968 at the age of 12. She was accompanied
by her mother only, as her father had met an unfortunate end while climbing
in the Pyrenees. Miss Gobelin attended all the best schools and became one
of Malibu's most sought after débutantes. Her involvement in a messy romantic
triangle with two opposing political figures forced her to leave the West Coast,
fleeing to New England in 1975. While in Massachusetts, she befriended
Margaret Boddy. And in 1978, she was introduced to Margaret's dashing
brother, Dr. Hugh Black. The two were rumored to have been briefly involved,
while she was married to her first husband, Dr. James Scarlet, a colleague of
Dr. Black's. Elizabeth became pregnant and gave birth to a daughter, Kasandra.
Regrettably, James died in 1981, after stumbling down the stairs at their country
house. Since that time,Elizabeth married two more times. First to Ernest Zaffer
in 1987, who died a year later. In 1992, she married her third husband, Senator
Matthew Peacock. Matthew's career in politics suffered greatly, however, when
he got tangled up in a messy battle over a plot of land owned by John Boddy.
The resulting court case all but ended Matthew's career and Matthew attempted
suicide. Elizabeth, hell-bent on revenge, has concoted a plan to make John Boddy
suffer for what she considers his wrong doing.
